Students at Maple Lane are learning how to monitor and describe their moods by using the Mood Meter in their classroom. Being able to identify mood is a Social Emotional skill that supports students as they develop, allowing them to build mindfulness and resilience; for example, understanding that one day you might feel low energy, and the next you might feel high energy helps build the understanding of emotional regulation, and a sense that mood and emotion can be impacted by actions that we take.
