Supporting the growth of identity for Indigenous learners takes many forms. One focus that we have had this year has been to develop some learning spaces that are specifically intended for Indigenous learners, providing opportunities for gathering as a community and for participation in varied learning opportunities. These spaces (one at Grauer and one at Cambie) are being developed after careful attention to the input of learners. They have told us that they like a space that is flexible, in which one can participate in a circle, eat a meal together or engage in Indigenous experiential learning opportunities.
