Developing self-regulation skills is a typical part of teenage development. The issue we saw is that many students would leave their class in order to use their phones as a means of self-regulating. From our experience, phone use often leads to further dysregulation and reinforces escape mechanisms for their anxieties. Further to this, we did a lot of Internet research to find out more information on specific issues/topics related to the creation of our space.
