Our school explored the question, “What types of inquiry-based approaches to teaching and learning, including the creation of the Wonder Lab, can we use to develop the target curricular competencies in Science?“
In the course of our inquiry we learned that:
- the opportunity for everyone to participate makes a big difference
- using a station approach allowed students to make bigger connections
- it takes time for inquiry learning to be fully implemented and become 'how we do things'
- the Wonder Lab became an extension of what’s going on in the classroom
