Foundational to the BC Curriculum are the Core Competencies, sets of intellectual, personal, and social and emotional proficiencies that all students need in order to engage in deep, lifelong learning.  In this example, students created visual representations of each of the Core Competencies and used them as a springboard for reflections on their learning throughout the year.  Students are deepening their self-awareness as they grow their understanding of their own personal identities and social awareness as learners, communicators and critical thinkers.
