The Richmond School District has a history of students overall performing well on the reading comprehension and writing components of the FSA. As well, the majority of students performed well on previous measures such as the English 12 examination and now the grade 10 literacy assessment. However, in the FSA components, there are some students who are demonstrating skills at the emerging level which requires focused attention. In the grade 10 literacy assessment (GLA) there are also some students who would benefit from more targeted literacy support across the curriculum.
