Elementary athletes had the exciting opportunity to step onto the court for a high school-level basketball experience during a recent tournament organized by secondary students. The event introduced young players to the fast-paced energy of a full-sized, five-on-five game, providing valuable exposure to competitive play.

Led by secondary students in an athletic leadership program, the tournament focused on skill development, teamwork and sportsmanship. Participants applied their basketball skills in a structured and supportive setting while learning the fundamentals of high school-level competition. Secondary student leaders played a key role in officiating games, organizing matchups and mentoring the elementary teams, making the experience both fun and educational.

Beyond building confidence on the court, the tournament helped bridge connections between the younger players and their high school mentors. Through friendly competition and guided mentorship, they gained insight into the next stage of their basketball journey while strengthening their sense of community through sport.
