The Richmond School District celebrates the richness and diversity of Indigenous cultures on National Indigenous Peoples Day, held annually on June 21. 

This day provides an opportunity to acknowledge the diverse cultures, voices, experiences and histories of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Canada. By learning about the Indigenous peoples, their significant places, and their profound experiences, each Canadian can take a meaningful step forward on the path to reconciliation.
