Pride Season refers to a series of Pride events that occur during the summer months, from June to September. These events bring together LGBTQ2 communities and their allies to highlight resilience, celebrate talents, and recognize the invaluable contributions made by LGBTQ2 communities.
The Richmond School District also acknowledges and stands in support of Pride Month, which takes place in June every year. The district believes that equity and inclusion are foundational to learning and leading, and are critical to success, well-being, and fulfillment. It is our mission to ensure that all of our students, families, and staff feel welcomed, are treated respectfully, and have a sense of belonging. We acknowledge our responsibility to support all learners so they may complete their education with dignity, purpose, and options.
