The Richmond Board of Education would like to inform the public that Scott Robinson will retire as Superintendent of the Richmond School District at the end of March 2023.

Scott became Superintendent of the Richmond School District in April 2019. Since taking on the position of Superintendent, Scott has mentored educators in the district with his intuitive vision and vast experience and knowledge of educational practices.

During the pandemic Scott was able to lead our staff and students through what we all know was a very difficult time, while adapting to the many challenges faced in ensuring ongoing learning for students.

He also led the Board through an extensive Strategic Planning process that has resulted in solid goals and objectives toward ongoing and improved student success and wellbeing into the future.

The Board of Education and I myself will miss his kind, respectful and understanding approach to every aspect of his role.

We will be forever grateful for his service, and we wish him all the best in all of his future endeavors. Superintendent Robinson will be remembered for the positive changes he has made and the legacy he has left in the district.

In the coming weeks and months, the Board of Education will provide further information as it begins the transition process.

Sincerely,

Debbie Tablotney, Chairperson
On Behalf of the Board of Education (Richmond)
