The month of May marks Asian Heritage Month. It is an opportunity for all Canadians to learn more about the many achievements and contributions of Canadians of Asian descent who, throughout our history, have done so much to make Canada the amazing country we share today.

It is a time to recognize the resilience and resolve that embodies the pan-Asian diversity and the invaluable achievements of communities of Asian descent in all parts of Canadian society and in particular Richmond. During Asian Heritage Month, we honour the significant contributions that Canadians of Asian descent have made, and continue to make, in shaping the richness of our community.
