Schools across the district are recognizing Pink Shirt Day on February 23, 2022. Students and staff are working together to engage one another and share examples of diversity, dignity and respect. A few examples happening in schools include:  

• Wearing pink as a sign of support 
• Recognizing and rewarding kind actions
• Having school and class discussions
• Organizing a “Cares Challenge”
• Singing the song “O Siem” to recognize we are better together and kinder together 
• Holding fundraiser activities to support programs that foster children’s healthy self-esteem
• Creating a school-wide art exhibit by inviting each student to write a message to share with the school community of how they spread care, love, and kindness
