Many classes in the district are using eportfolios to support students to articulate their thinking, make connections, and build awareness and self-reflection about their learning. Schools are seeing increased engagement and agency as students use the feedback from their eportfolio posts to guide next steps in learning, and celebrate their learning goals as they curate and reflect on their learning throughout the year. 

“The biggest difference that we are seeing is a shift in ownership where teachers are becoming owners of the inquiry, the owners of learning about the learning and then their approach to CSL shifts, becomes more intentional and then makes a bigger different for students.”

“I have sincerely enjoyed the process of looking at a majority of the learning and assessments as Formative Assessment. As we end the year, students are given the self-advocacy of choosing which formative assessments best represented their learning and using those as our Summative assessments.. A true portfolio should reflect the students' chosen, best work; I thoroughly enjoy having conversations with students as we curate their portfolios into one that highlights their steps and journeys as learners over the year.”
