April 28 is recognized across Canada as the National Day of Mourning — a time to remember those who have lost their lives, been injured, or suffered illness due to workplace incidents or occupational disease.

Education Week - April 21-25, 2025

The Richmond School District is proud to celebrate Education Week from April 21 to 25. This special week highlights the exceptional achievements and meaningful learning taking place in school districts across British Columbia, including our own.

April marks Sikh Heritage Month in Canada, a time to recognize and celebrate the rich history, culture and contributions of Sikh communities.
 

Each year on March 8, the Richmond School District joins the global celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD). This day recognizes the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and girls, while also raising awareness of ongoing efforts to advance gender equality.

Richmond schools will be closed for spring break from March 17 to 28, 2025. Schools will re-open on March 31, 2025.

Pink Shirt Day is an annual event dedicated to raising awareness about bullying and promoting kindness, respect and inclusion within our communities. This year, Pink Shirt Day is being observed on February 26, 2025.
