The Richmond School District acknowledges that "it takes a village to raise all our children," and as such continues to seek ways to collaborate with community partners to help lessen the negative impact of child poverty in schools and the community.

Feed-U-Cate 38 is a Richmond School District program that was established in Fall 2012 by a committee of students and staff. The goal of Feed-U-Cate 38 is to educate the community about school district food programs and to invite the community to make donations that will support these breakfast, lunch, and snack programs for elementary and secondary students in need.

The Richmond School District's COVID-19 Feed-U-Cate 38 food initiative is supported by the Government of Canada's Emergency Community Support Fund and Community Foundations of Canada. The district is also grateful to individuals, school groups, school PACs, and community organizations for their generous donations to Feed-U-Cate 38.  All donated funds are allocated to food purchases.
