Audible – Free audiobooks for children, available in EnglishFrench and other languages.

Resources for French Immersion

Little Books from Pearson - Little books in French from Pearson that can be read aloud, with links to literacy, numeracy, and the First Peoples’ Principles of Learning.  Activities for each of the books are available as well.

Math Storytime - Created in Ontario, this is a collection of digital story books for students in grades K-2. Available in English and French. Available as an iOS or Android app. Use the toggle button at the top right to switch to French. 

The French Experiment -  Some well-known children's stories translated into French and spoken by a native French speaker. Great for kids... and adults too! Read along in French or English.

Audible – Free audiobooks for children, available in English, French and other languages. Choose the "à écouter en français" button for French titles.

Curio.ca – CBC streaming platform curated and designed to complement K-12 curriculum. Includes educational packages, hands-on activities, and teacher guides. Available in both English and French. Switch to françaisat top right of page for French content.

Greg Tang Math - Greg Tang, author, has a set of online math games that offer both conceptual development and skill practice.

Math Storytime - Created in Ontario, this is a collection of digital story books for students in grades K-2. Available in English and French. Available as an iOS or Android app. 

Bedtime Math  - This is an online resource created specifically for parents. You can choose from a menu of math tasks to do at home with your children.

Talk With Our Kids About Money (TWOKAM) - Resources created by the Canadian Foundation for Economic Education.

Digital Citizenship

Digital Citizenship Guide for Parents from MediaSmarts and the Goverrnment of Canada​ - This guide will prepare you for the conversations you need to have with your children when they first start using digital devices, as they grow and their online activities change, and when things go wrong.

The guide is divided into three sections that each deal with a different aspect of digital citizenship, to teach your children to Respect People’s Feelings, to Respect Privacy and to Respect Property online.

CBC Kids – Videos, songs, games, and more.

PBS learning media – Free educational videos, interactives, lesson plans, and more. You can create your own lessons, quizzes and activities with any of the resources.

TED ED – A variety of videos curated for their educational purposes. Many have questions, discussion topics, and a dig deeper section that connects you to other related content.

JABC Online Learning – Online, self-directed courses on financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship for grades 4-12. Please read the privacy policy before deciding to sign up for this Canadian site.
